Well, that’s because my darling brother has been helping me realize my vision for the site.

Why is he doing this when WordPress is so super easy to use? Because he designed the original blog years ago when it was not as easy, and I was not going to change it without working with him; I did not want to change a work of art without the artist’s buy-in.

Why did this change (and why will it continue changing)? I have had the tremendous luck of either meeting, being exposed to, or being related to some amazingly talented photobloggers, which has shaped the direction that I want to carry this blog going forward.

Any other reasons? I’ve had the same design for almost 6 years, and getting a new design with old elements is just a nice treat for the sixth birthday (May 25th).

Anything else that I can look forward to? Good question. I think that you might see some more posts, now that WP has begun their post by email option, and God only knows what I willl learn at the Wordcamp San Francisco.

Now I get to ask a question: what do **you** think?

Trying out Vista

I’m trying out Vista now, I’m enjoying it thus far, but I know that I’m not using it to it’s full capacity yet. I had expected it to be a lot more difficult than it has been thus far.

My brother, in setting up Firefox, set it with three tabs as the home page: Photomatt, my blog, and the WordPress home page. Do you think that he may be sending me a hint?

Ok, just catching up to the Crunchies – I know, I know, it’s a week late.

Many congratulations to Automattic and Toni Schneider for the Crunchies that they won! I believe they deserve every accolade that the world wants to give them, but I might be biased…(then again, maybe not)

I was not surprised to see many of the services that I use constantly (congratulations to Twitter, Digg, Facebook, Kongregate, etc.) but I was really thrilled to hear about Meebo. I love this site, and have been using it daily for months. I haven’t had a single complaint about it, which is more than I could say for my beloved BlackBerry; it certainly has seamlessly kept me in contact with all my friends and family – and in style too! Congratulations, guys!

I would also like to thank Glenda, who’s running Twitter commentary and photos that made me feel like I was right there!

and to my brother, Matt, and all the other members of the company for all the hard work that has led you here. I went out and bought all the papers this morning and they’re now hanging on my cubicle (I’ll have to buy other copies for the house)

We’re so proud of you, and hope that this allows you to follow your dreams for WordPress!!

p.s. How long will the links to Photomatt work? Do I have to go back and change them????
